This is a beautiful lament – only problem with the psalms is I have problems connecting with the vengence and destruction desired upon enemies. Maybe injustice doesn’t anger me enough?
Can’t the Psalmists simply have God save them, without wishing their enemies be struck down? When I read it with the lens of enemies being evil and all things demonic, it makes more sense, but there’s still a very human level to what’s stated here.
