Quitting Google Chrome

by Lon on April 7, 2009

I’m a big fan of just about everything google, but for now, i’m quitting google chrome.

I’ve been using it on and off since the day it launched, and while it’s gotten a tad better with every release, it’s still too flaky.

One of my favorite features is how field boxes can dynamically re-size, which is great when i’m emailing a large number of people, and can’t remember if i added someone yet…

but, the lack of extensions, the horrible tabbing UI once i hit over 15 or so, and the lack of responsiveness when i’m loading multiple pages at once (which i do quite often), just doesn’t cut it for me.

Firefox is a memory hog (sometimes running at 6-700 mb), but it’s still far more reliable than Chrome.

I’ll keep you installed Chrome, but for now, so long.
