Acts 11

It’s interesting how ‘the Gentiles” received the word of God – seems to be an over-generalization.

Peter was in a ‘trance’ – I wonder what old school fundies think of that?

the Lord sayd “get up, Peter.  Kill and eat” – I wonder what the vegan pacifist thinks of that?

‘Send to Joppa for Simon who is called Peter. He will bring you a message through which you and all your household will be saved.’ – This entire household being saved thing is a bit bizarre in an individualized western context as well.

v26 “The disciples were called Christians first at Antioch.”  – They were not self-identified as Christians – others saw Christ in them and described them as such.  What labels would people put onto you and why?
