windows live messenger – offline contacts

by Lon on June 23, 2009

The latest version of Windows Live Messenger – 14.0864.206 is stupid – you can’t disable showing offline contacts – I’m sure I’ve tried everything.  The only way is if you sort by categories, the checkbox for offline contacts shows up – but if you want to organize by online status ie. available, away, etc. it doesn’t give you the option to disable viewing offline contacts.

I could do categories – but I’ve got people in all these groups I had them categorized in from ages back – and it would be ridiculous to try sorting through it all.

microsoft – messenger’s one product that you’ve managed to keep a lot of people on – get this one right will you?
