Matthew 19

- are there grounds for divorce?
- Jesus affirms god’s heart for marriage and unity – ‘from the beginning’
- what about if you divorce your wife due to ‘unchastity’?  – being unchaste is so serious that god would give exception to his heart’s desire when?
- better not to marry?  – Christ didn’t initiate teaching he didn’t think people were ready for?  plus it was not across the board – only ‘to whom it is given’ – unique teaching for chosen few?
- eunuch’s – 1. by birth, 2. by others 3. themselves for the kingdom – carazy.

like children – those who come, and do not stop – kingdom of heaven belongs

did the rich young man really obey all those commandments since being a youth?  Jesus doesn’t say either way, but challenges him on his own sense of morality and speaks to where it was most difficult for him – his wealth.

disciples were thinking of heaven as a sense of being ‘saved’ ?

v28 “at the renewal of all things” – disciples 12 thrones judging?

to receive 100x AND inherit eternal life / separate gifts?
