I originally posted this a while back on howardforums, some others have the same issue but still haven’t come across an answer.
I’m with virgin mobile post-paid with an iphone 4.
I’ve been having problems receiving texts from online services that require sms validation – ie. microsoft account, paypal, as well as a new app I was testing called viber. I’ve tried multiple times initiating a text to be sent – and I keep getting nothing.
Anyone else having the same problem or know what the issue is?

I have my own unlocked Nokia phone with a Virgin SIM card. I sent a validation text from my skype account, and it said “Failed to send” each attempt. I don’t know what the problem is, but you’re not alone.

have you ever found a resolution to this issue?
I had to send my validation code to my GFs phone (she is with Telus) in order to reset my locked LIVE account a while back.
I just now tried to send an SMS message from the Windows Live Mobile site to get messenger on my phone, and did not receive the text… so this is still an ongoing issue.
I had the same problem. FB changed their rules and needed the activation code to verify. I couldn’t get into my account which had been there before this rule. I had been sharing a phone but now had to buy one, a virgin phone, which was the most recommended carrier. I am a senior, so tech ology is not my strong suit. I tried for TWO WEEKS to get that activation code and it never came. Virgin said it was FBs problem. Then I tried someone else’s nonVirgin phone and the code came IMMEDIATELY!
yeah – i got push back a couple times on it – if more people comment here with the same issue – i’d love to go back to them and say there’s a serious problem here and i’m not the only one.
